jockeys short in height

hello sir, why most of the jockeys are short in height? cant a taller rider ride well in the race?

Yes. The smaller guys tend to be healthier since they are not fighting their weight. Taller jockey may become week and sick more often when trying to make weight, but there are many great riders who are on the tall side.
