Understanding "Drug Positive" in Horse Racing: Causes & Consequences

sir, what does "drug positive" mean in horse racing terms? actually, my friend, a trainer in bombay racecourse got suspended for the whole season due to drug positive and this happened due to outside source. the stables are 3km away from the racetrack.

hi drug positive  means that the horse has some kind of drugs in their system and that is not allowed in racing. the trainer is responsible for the horse at all times, which includes the racing and the medication  that the horses get. so the trainer has to be sure that nothing gets into the horse for the race. thanks ED HESS
