hello sir, is long barrel, a good confirmation in thoroughbreds? if yes, may i know why?

Well anything that stands out as long or short relative to the whole horse may not be ideal for racing. You need to look for balance overall. Everything should be in proportion. Each feature should complement the next. A long barrel would be ok if the horse has a strong back and the proper leg length for his barrel. The larger barrel should have more room for heart and lung capacity.
