Track conditions and Dunkirk

Question
Todd Pletcher said that Dunkirk trained well over the sloppy Churchill Downs track and that if the track was good or muddy they would be in trouble.  What did Pletcher mean by the aforementioned?

Answer
Dennis,

Sloppy, Good, and Muddy are all different "track conditions". He knows his horse is good over the slop, but not so great over a "muddy" or "good" track, as he stated. Each of those terms is a specific condition and noted so in the racing form.
