Trainers compensation

I understand the 10% winnings across the board, but I thought they get paid on
a monthly or daily basis as well.  Don't they?  And what about assistant trainers,
how does that work?

hi  when i trained horses  the trainer would get 10% of the winnings and a bonus if the owner wanted to give you a bonus. yes the trainer charges a fee for each day which covers the feed, training, galloping , barn care etc. the assistant trainers work on a regular monthly fee. hope this helps you. thanks  ED HESS
