2 yr thoroughbred height

Hi,
  I have  a 2yr old T/BRED AND  HE IS  FLAT BRED I WAS WONDERING WHAT WOULD THE AVERAGE SIZE FOR A 2YR BE  HE HAS JUST TURNED A PROPER 24 MONTHS OLD? I would like to break him this winter an am wondering if he is growing at a good rate,

hi stephen --the main and only thing i go on in a 2 yr olds growth ,is ,are there  knee's  completly closed ????   then and only then would i ever even think of puting him or her in training . i always have them xrayed to see how there knees are. they must be completely closed in order to take the training and to keep sound .you must train them slowly and constantly so you don't get the bucked shins that most  2 yrs olds get from starting  training to soon, before there knees are completly closed. i really don't care about the horses size, as long as he or she has the proper training, that is the most important thing to me. i hope this helps you.  thanks ED HESS
