Question
just read the conversation bwt Larry and Ann.  I have the exact pain. 47 yr moderate
runner mother of two, former PE teacher know" just wear it hurts".  pain with hip
flexion.and some torso rotation, hard to bend over, worse during sleep and periods
of sitting, hard to wt bear on the affected side (L). better when routine activity
progresses. From the model,(refereed by Larry) pain originates at the top of the
interior crest down at times through rear of femur.  How long can I expect this to go
on, what to you rec for rest and recovery.? thanks Linda

Answer
Hi Linda
It is not a matter what to do for rest and recovery and as far as how long this will go on.What you have to do is treat the cause of the problem which with runners is a tracking and alignment situation and there are many things which can cause this like imbalances in your muscular skeleton system along with many weak areas. The bottom line is i recommend getting into a complete re balancing and strengthing  of everything leg extensions, leg curls.adductor abductor,ab work, back extensions,up right stationary bike workouts, upper body work. You can add epson salt baths for recovery and 500mg vit c 3 times a day for tendons, ligaments, collagen. The reason for this is there are many things that contributed to your situation Linda. If you have any questions just get in touch and if you would like to call me here in albuquerque NM to discuss this further with some more clarity on this your more than welcome any time.Just go my site for contact.

All the best

John
