Question
I am in pretty good running shape but i gained 20 lbs over the winter. Jogging is really easy for me. I'm going to start cardio soon, how much times a week should i perform cardio. And what do you prefer jogging or running.(long duration cardio or high intensity cardio?)

Answer
Hi Antony
As long as you gradually increase your time running,i see no reason why you can't run every day,but you have to maintain a comfortable relax pace in order for your bodies muscular skeleton and cardiovascular system to develop.I would run long duration well with in yourself. There will be plenty of time down the road for more speed work, but if you push to early your just going to end up with some stress related injuries to tendons, ligaments, collagen.

All the best

John
