popping knee

2016/7/22 10:07:37

Question
I just recently started jogging as I have always been walking, i recently developed this popping knee.  I am back to walking but when I bend the knee, i hear the popping.  It does not hurt. I plan to rub LA marathon in March of this year. Will this hurt my knee permanently?

Answer
Hi Celest
You should take care of your knee or it will progress over time, but not a permanent problem as long as you take care of it.Most likely a tracking and alignment situation.I recommend you do some stationary bike workouts a few times a week working your way up to 45 minutes until the problem is resolved.

All the best
with the la marathon
