Shoulder Sore After Jog - Why?

2016/7/22 10:12:01

Question
Hello John,
I'm 52, doing some jogging.  I intersperse it with sprints now.  As my fitness has increased, so has the intensity of my sprints (short intervals). Last week my left shoulder joint was sore after a jog/run, and I still feel it weak now.
1) can jogging/running injure the shoulder joint? I never thought that was possible.
2) how can I prevent it?  Are there any exercises you can recommend?
Thanks!
Regards,
