hello i am 23 years old 5'6" tall and i weigh 200 pounds. what is the safest way for me to get back into shape? i used to be able to run 1.5 miles with no problem, but over the years i have gained weight. last year i tried to run/jogging i would be fine for 10 minutes then i would do brisk walking then running again. i ran 3 times a week. the third week i always had pain in the back of my foot and wouldn't run for days.


what kind of exercises should i do to help ease my way back into running. i would like to be able to run 2 miles by august and lose weight. the only workouts i have been doing are lifting weights and doing 200 jumping jacks every other day that is about it. i know it will take time, but with proper guidance and advice i hope that my goals will be successful. any information would be much appreciated. thank you in advance.

Here it is alex.Start a walk jog program and work your way up to 1hr a day and 1 day go 1hr 45min 6 day program.Work into the jogging portion slowly.Your body will adapt over time.Also take a close look at your diet.They go hand and and hand.Can't do it with only one.Last have your body fat measured with calipers to give you a base line to keep you on target.You want a 12 to 15 percent number.It is this easy,but you have to be patient and consistent alex.
