Question
Hi, hopefully you can help point me in the right direction.  Im not sure if what i have is actually Plantar Fasciitis but there is a pretty searing pain, usually after i play a basketball game or run a race, on the bottom of my foot.  I'd say that its probably closer to the middle of my arch.  Any idea on what this could be or how to treat it, most Plantar Fasciitis sites say all u can do is rest...that doesnt look like a promising option for me.Going a little more in depth, sometimes my foot will hurt even after just sitting in my office chair...Thanks for any help.

Answer
How are ya Mike
It definetly sounds like plantar fasciitis.I have had it myself years ago.
It is a slight tearing of the covering of the foot and can become chronic if you do not take care of it and keep on top of it.The answer is take it easy till it goes away and apply ice as often as you can for ten to twenty minutes at a time.Take 500mg of vitamin C with your three meals a day. This is a miracle vit. for athletes to repair and strengthen conective tissue and tendons and cells.Don't worry mike it will get better in time.

To your speedy recovery
