Foot injury 4 weeks before marathon


Question
I injured my foot during my most recent 8 mile tempo run, I took a few days off and it hurt during my long run this weekend.  I have 4 weeks to go until my marathon and I've already completed 2 20 milers and 2 18 milers.  What can / should I be doing over the next 4 weeks?  Can I bike to replace running until my foot feels better?

Every thing you have done training wise good or bad in your preparation for this up coming effort is already absorbed in your body.The only thing you can do now is eliminate your foot situation which you mentioned and the up right stationary bike is the best tool for it.I would not run another step till the race to insure the healing effect takes Hold.I have had many individuals call and email me about this situation.I can assure you will not lose any fitness.If you want to cal me for a more detailed program feel free any time to call.
