i want to know what special kind of road/path is required for walking and jogging? Is there any harm to walk and jog on the roads car travel on?

None what so ever.Just keep very very alert for the on coming traffic because they don't care about you, and you have many older individuals with eye sight that can't detect object's down the road.Other than that ENJOY your run or walk.
