Clicking Near Ankle While Running

Question
Hi, I recently started hearing/feeling a clicking sound somewhere between the top of my foot and to the outside of my ankle (top front of ankle I guess). Initially there was no pain at all. In fact, I thought the sound was my laces hitting my shoe. Now I can 'feel' the clicking too and it seems to be happening more often. I can go about 2 miles with nothing and then it clicks every minute or so. I've tried to make it click by moving my foot around while running with no luck. I can't reproduce it. I also noticed it while doing the eliptical. It doesn't do it while cycling or walking though. I don't really have any pain except the top of my foot seems a little sore sometimes. I've been resting it as much as I can and ice it if I do run. I'm afraid it might turn into something more serious so I'd like to know what's causing it. Any ideas?
thanks,
Steve

Answer
Hi Steve
It seems to me based on your description that it is your peroneal tendon.Rather than me explain the long involved situation and what to do,i recomend you google peroneal tendon and get all the facts.I had it my self years ago.If you have other questions just get in touch.

All the best

John
