NY Marathon


Question
I will be running the NY marathon next month.  What trainig schedule do you recomend.  I understand that the race is only a few weeks away but I just received confirmation.  This will be my first marathon, extreamly excited!

How much training have you done recently. In order to be able to complete the marathon in one piece you should be able to 7 miles comfortably. I suggest you visit www.runnersworld.co.uk and on that site there is some excellent marathon training schedules for beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you can try and start from say week 6 or 7 so you have a chance to build up your distance!!
