What Does 'BARK' Mean in Climbing? Explained

a friend of mine asked me, just to test my knowledge cause he obviously knows, what BARK means in climbing? i have no clue

Ther is a BRAK Canyon in Arizona that has seen some climbing activity.  There is an adventure race in Oregon's Smith Rocks that is called the BARK Juniper Berry VI Adventure Race around Smith Rock State Park ...

Other than that I have never heard the term either.
