Climbing Areas & Gear Shops Near Berkeley, CA

Do you know of any climbing areas near Berkeley? I am especially intereested in some relativly easy trad with some crack for a little practice for an upcomming Mt Conness trip.

Also, are there any rock shops near berkely?

Any information would be much appreciated.

Rock shops:  Wilderness Exchange & REI both on San Pablo Ave. Sunrise Mountaeering in Pleasant Hill, REI in Concord. There is also a climbing shop on the corner of Ashby and Shattuck across formthe Ashby Bart station. I forget the name but il looks like a mountain chalet.

Climbing;  Indian Rock, Cragmont Rock, Pinnacle Rock, Mt Diablo in Danville. Mt Tamalpias in Mill Valley.

Unfortunately thes art primarily top rope spots. I suggest you go to Tuolumne and climb Cathedral Peak and The Hobbit book as good training for Conness.
