rappelling

Question
I was wondering how safe it was to descend looking downward while rappelling.  I've heard of it through friends and it doesn't sound safe

Dear Jaime----the army does it so they can shoot first.....but if you are not in the army.........it's nothing more than a stunt........and a dangerous one.
