Arnel Doria: The First Filipino to Summit Mount Everest

Arnel Doria: Arnel Doria was the first Filipino mountaineer who had a successful climb to the summit of Mt. Everest. It was on May 23, 2006, when Doria reached the summit of the roof of the world, along with his teammate Romeo Garduce, who fell about 100 meters below the peak. Doria's climb was considered historical because he made it at the age of 34 and he accomplished it without supplemental oxygen.
