Lightweight scholarship

Question
Hi! Im a lightweight freshman varsity female rower going into my 4th season. I want to be competitive for a scholarship to  D1 school with a strong female lightweight program. I have a couple questions.
1. what is a good 2k and 6k score for a lightweight looking for a scholarship?
2. what colleges have good lightweight programs?
Thanks! megan.

Answer
Megan,
If I were you I would try and break 8, to get yourself in the top 10% girls lightweight 2ks, and for your 6k I would try for a 2:07 split to be competitive. If the times you're looking for aren't coming, relax and remember how much more time you have. I don't know what  your GPA or SAT scores are so I really can't say what colleges you should look into, but I do know that lots of lightweight college programs are being cut.
Good luck,
Annie
