Question
I am a novice boy at 14 years old, and I weigh 130 lbs, and I am about 5 foot 7, and I pulled a 7:34. Is that good for my height and weight?

Answer
Hi Erik: It's an excellent time.  The average time for lightweights your age is 7:51.  You are in the Top-one-third.  What's most impressive is that lightweights go up to 165 lbs.  You are giving up over 30 pounds and still doing better than most.  If you can add 10-15 pounds of solid muscle, your time can go down even lower.

Keep up the good work.

Good Luck/AP
