rowing during Spring break 2010

Question
What rowing programs, for high school (sophomore) young women, are available during Spring break, March 31st - April 9th, 2010?  What ongoing rowing programs in the Metropolitan NY/NJ area are available (I already know of New York Rows and NY Rowing Assoc).  Thank you

Answer
Hi Mel: I'd recommend the Florida Rowing Center in Wellington, FL.  I participated in the 1-week rowing camp when it first opened and enjoyed it.  It's for sculling only, but the skills you learn can apply to sweep rowing.  Here's their web site:

There's another camp in the Northern Neck area of Virginia.  I've never been to the camp, but my family vacations in that area every summer and we love it:

Here's a list of rowing clubs in the NYC area (source: http://www.nyrowing.org/nyra/affiliates.html ):

Carnegie Lake Rowing Association, Princeton, NJ
East Arm Rowing Club, Greenwood Lake, NY
Hudson River Rowing Association, Poughkeepsie, NY
Maritime Rowing Club, Norwalk, CT
Nereid Boat Club, Rutherford, NJ
Newburgh Rowing Club, Newburgh, NY
New Haven Rowing Club, Oxford, CT
New Rochelle Rowing Club, New Rochelle, NY
NYAC Rowing Club, Pelham, NY
Norwalk River Rowing Association, Norwalk, CT
Passaic River Rowing Association, Kearny, NJ
Piermont Rowing Club, Piermont, NY
Sagamore Rowing Association, Long Island, NY
Saugatuck Rowing Club, Westport, CT

I had a friend who rowed for Sagamore.  Of course, NYAC is one of the elite clubs in the entire country.
