pin hole in air line

2016/7/22 10:35:04

Question
Hi,
Just lately when I hooked up my tank to my regs I found that I had a really small pin hole in the line that holds my computer and pressure gauge, do I need to replace the whole line or is there a way to fix this problem before it gets worse.

Thanks

Answer
Hello Lee, I would HIGHLY recommend that you REPLACE the WHOLE air line! It is not worth messing around and trying to cut out that section which has the pin hole.....Do not do it! Depending on the lenght of the hose, you can usually get a new one for under $60 dollars. If you want to get the "quick connect" type, it will be a little more money, but either way, the WHOLE line should be replaced. To do otherwise is tantamount to playing underwater "Russian Roulette"! Hope this helps you. Do the right thing Lee....Replace it. ok. Thanks for your question, and safe diving.
