Underwater photograpgy and Videography

Hello, my name is Dan Wachter and am 19 years old. My entire life I have been fascinated by the underwater world, and am thinking seriously about a job in this field. I am currently certified as an open water diver through PADI. Here is a list of things I would like to know about this career: How long schooling would be? Where do I go to get started? The average salary of an underwater photographer and videographer.  IF you could get back to me with the answers I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward to hearing from you and THANKS!!

My brother is a fairly successful underwater photographer.  I trained him as a diver (up through NAUI Master Diver) and then he did four years at Brooks Institute of Photography.  Being a really good diver is important, but it is just the bus you ride to get to work.  The critical question is what can you do once you arrive at the job site?
