Question
i have a savage 22 clip fed 1909 in very good condition about 97% it has a very nice nickle finish no chips or ware was wondering did they make this gun in nickle and maybe a price value on it thanks

Answer
Hello Jack. Your gun was made from 1909-1915. I found nothing to show a Nickle Plated model. If there is slight flaking from powder burns around the muzzle, or wear on the pump slide, or crisp lettering on the patent date, your rifle may have been special ordered with nickel finish. If not, I have seen the blue model, with serious wear, sell recently for over $150. I do not give a price on any item I have not personally held in my hands, but if your nickel finish came from the factory, in 97% condition, a Savage collector would be the one to ask about value. There are many honest ones on different gun forums. You might also try: John Callahan at 53 Old Quarry Rd. Westfield, MA. 01085.
I hope I have helped answer your questions and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
