i have a old rolling block .22 the reciever is marked (essex gun works) and no other markings, can you tell me any info on these guns?

Essex Gun Works was a house brand used by Belknap Hardware Co.
The arms were made by Crescent Arms, Harrington & Richardson, and J Stevens Arms. Yours is probably a Stevens Favorite.
