Pellet gun

2016/7/22 9:07:14

Question
My neighbor gave me a pellet gun which uses a CO2 cylinder. I am a past shooting match competitor with a shotgun (with a scope!) and I still have it for sentimental reasons. I just read some of your answers to others about pellet guns but I didn't find any about how to load the CO2 refill. I bought the flat .177 pellets but it has no power w/o the CO2. Can you tell me? Thanks!

Answer
You can probably download a manual for the gun if you check the website of the gun manufacturer.

But generally, place the gun on safe, then you remove a cap (in a handgun, the cap is usually at the bottom of the grip handle). Remove the old cylinder and insert a new cylinder with the small end going in first.  Check the cap to make sure the o-ring seal looks OK, and add a little grease to the o-ring if it is dry.  Screw  the cap on securely.  There is often a small lever mounted on the cap.  Lift the lever up slightly, which pierces the CO2 cylinder, then let the lever back down.  Now it is ready to use.

Hope this helps!

Dave
