30-30 straightpull bolt action.

Question
I have a 30-30 straightpull bolt action rifle.The serial# is 141477.I can not find the manufacturer name on it .I am trying to
find out where&when it was manufactured.The rear sight is missing
because a scope was mounted on it but I removed the scope.

It will be all but impossible to identify a gun without a make or model and never laying eyes on the gun. Your best bet would be to carry the gun to a qualified gunsmith in your area. He/She should be able to identify the gun based on any stampings or markings on the gun, and plus they will be able to see what the gun looks like.
