Question
Ron,I have some 38 cal. bullets, that I have had for years. My question is, how long can you keep bullets, befor they go bad? Thank You

Answer
James,

In theory, with proper storage, ie, cool and dry, the ammo has an almost indefinite shelf life. There's surplus ammo on the market in excess of 30 years old. However, your conditions may not have been ideal so you should examine the rounds carefully. Any evidence of corrosion, contact with water or physical damage is reason enough to dispose of them. If it worries you, that is probably also reason enough not to use them. Hope that helps! -Rod-
