came across this handgun need some info on it.its a 5 shot revolver numbers on th trigger gaurd 59865.u.s. on the grips.gun breaks open at the rear site.Any info would be great..thanks chad

The US Revolver Company was a trade name that Iver Johnson used to make and sell budget priced revolvers. These guns were made from 1910 until 1935. The number you see on the gun is actually a lot number or assembly number as serial numbers were not mandated or common practice until 1968. Theses are great little guns, usually you can sell one in good condition for 150 bucks.
