Question
I have a 22 cal. rifle that was my grandfathers, but it is missing its magazine. there are no serial #'s on the gun so that starts to show its age. the barrel has Long Range New England Arms Co. N.Y.  then by the rear sight   22 short long and long range. My dad thinks that it was mail order. any help or information on parts would be helpful

Answer
Hello Norman,

The gun you have was manufactured by Harrington & Richardson, or H&R 1871 LLC. I have no idea what model gun you have, the information I have is that they manufactured a single shot .22 rifle, but nothing comes up on the long range or even a .22 that accepts a magazine. Marlin bought out H&R, I would try emailing them or giving them a call to identify it.

Best of luck!
