Question
I have owned a 28" 12 GUAGE Batavia Special #166479 for the last 52 years. When do you think it was made. It is in great condition with 95%+ blueing ,hardened receiver and some wear on stock and forend What is it worth?

Answer
Baker Gun Company made ther Batavia Special between 1908 and 1915. Serial numbers started out at 150000 and went up into the 160000's so it would be safe to say that your gun was likely made in 1915, take a year or two (depending how many were made per year).

Value of maybe 400-500 bucks depending on the condition, as condition is subjective to who is doing the grading of the gun.
