Western Field .22

Question
I have an issue with a Western Field 14M 491A .22 S/L/LR.  It is a bolt action.  I can chamber a round but when I go to pull the trigger, all that happens is a "click".  I have tried several different boxes of new ammunition for this problem to no avail.  Is there something that I need to repair or replace in the trigger mechanism in order to fix this problem.  I would love to repair this firearm so that I may pass this along to my children as I received it from my grandfather.  Thank you for any help concerning this matter.

Answer
I would take it to a local gunsmith, when you here a click when you pull the round out, see if there is a mark and any dot or indent on the primer of the bullet.  It sound like a broken firing pin or broken or weak firing pin spring, but without seeing the gun only a guess.
