what year as best as you can tell would my sons Western Field Model SB-100B which I believe is a Savage Model SB100-SS-SG it is chamgered in 16 Gauge.

Hi,
You are correct that by Savage Stevens.
Unfortunately these utility grade shotguns have little information available on them.
No way really to date them. There are dozens of variations.
Best guess 1950s to 1970s.


You can try getting these books from a library.
