J Stevephs rifle value

My father in law has an old J stevephs single shot 22 rifle. I did not see model number. the serial number is 175. It is has a pin that releases the barrel and it is cocked by using the lever that covers the trigger.
Where can i find the model number and how old and how much is it worth?

It sounds like a Stevens Favorite.

There should be a model number on it.

If it is Favorite did not have a serial numbers.
There was model 175 Peep sight.
