What to look for

Question
I'm looking to buy a Belgian-made Browning rifle for my Dad, but I don't want to end up with a bad piece. He is very knowledgeable about these guns & want to make sure it's something he'd like. I know enough about them to be dangerous, but not enough to feel confident spending that kind of money. Any suggestions??? I saw your 417 area code & I live at the lake. Do you know of anything I can find locally?

Answer
Matt,

I don't know of any local dealers that might have the older Belgium rifles in stock that are mint condition. Give me a call and I will try to recommend a few sources. There are a number of things to consider before buying some of the Belgium Brownings. First you will need to have an idea of what your father is trying to do with his collection. By that I mean does he have specific items he is looking for. What type of condition is he comfortable with and if he plans on hunting with the rifle or put it away as a collectible. I will be available via cell phone most generally after 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. most days.
