.22 Ranger

2016/7/22 9:16:16

Question
I have an old .22 ranger, bolt action, tube fed repeater that I used to use with my father a long time ago.  I've recently restored it, but the bolt is missing.  Any ideas where I could possible acquire a bolt to fit this rifle?

Answer
Bruce,

It's a little tough to answer this question as I could really use some more information.  Ranger was a 'house brand' name.  The guns were actually manufactured by several different makers, depending on the model.  Marlin, Savage, Stevens, Winchester and H&R all made 'Ranger' rifles at one point or another.

Usually a good source of parts for older guns is Numrich Gun Parts.  They are on the web at:  www.e-gunparts.com

There is a cross reference listing on their website that gives the correct manufacturer and model reference for the house brand name and model.  You'll need to find the model number of your Ranger to complete the connection.

Hope this helps you out.  Good luck in your search.

Regards,

Doug
