Question
I am trying to find a mfg date for a RZM walther PPK 99% with holster and extra mag. Nitro proffed with a #821XXX. Is the a book that covers this area?

Answer
Louis,

All I have to work with is the Blue Book of Handgun values.  There are some other pages that you can probably find if you do a google search on 'prewar Walther PPK'.

Based on the info I have, it is possible to narrow its manufacture down to the period between 1940 and 1945.  Beyond that I don't know as I cannot find any serial number records.

Value is pretty high on this piece.  At 98% it is valued at around $1800 with an additional $200 for the holster and mag if authentic to the period.  95% drops to around $1300.

Good luck with your search.

Regards,

Doug
