Jimenez JA-9

My brother-in-law just purchased a JA-9 from a small time gun store in southern Kentucky. It looks great and feels great (heavy). Only paid $139 for it. Was this a good choice? He wanted something economical and something for the wife to shoot. Read reviews and sounds like bad choice.

I have one of those and would not recommend it.  The trigger pull is so hard that one of my gun class students was not able to pull the trigger.  The chamber loaded indicator is a piece of plastic.  I asked the manufacturer if they had any plans to improve these problems, and they said no.

The guns look nice, but are not well-made.
