Question
my step dad has a 12 gauge double barrel shotgun. the only thing it says on it is riverside arms company, Chicopee falls Massachusetts. patented April 20 1915.  can you give me any information about this gun or somewhere i can go look it up?
please and thank you.

Danielle

Answer
Danielle,

The name "Riverside" was a brand model shotgun made by the J. Stevens Co. They made utility grade double barrel shotguns between 1877 and 1988. They are chambered in 10, 12, 16, and 20ga. and also was available in .410 bore. The guns featured double triggers and models that had a single trigger retain a higher value.

The "Riverside" was available in two versions, the model 215 and 315 and both in "good" condition would have an approximate retail value of $350 to $400.

Thanks for the Question Danielle.
