Question
I just received a gun from my grandmother and I would like to know the value and some history. It is a Sears and Roebuk Ted Williams edition 20 gauge single barrel 2 3/4" full shotgun. The model# is 282.51083 and the serial # is 458386. Please if you can get me any information it will be greatly appreciated.
                                        Thanks

Answer
Mitchell,

Your "Ted Williams" (or Sears) shotgun was manufactured by Boito Firearms in Brazil for Sears and is but one of many
"store brand" guns that were available over the years.

Unfortunately they have not retained much value over the years (which does not mean that there is anything wrong with the gun) as utility type shotguns imported from Brazil are generally not in high demand.

Your gun in "good" condition would have an approximate retail value of $100 to $125.

Thanks for the question Mitchell.
