yes i'm trying to find the value of a gun that i have on the barrel it says A BALDWIN&COMPANIES LIMITED made in New Orleans LA.it is a 12 guage shot gun it uses black powder paper shells.If you or anyone that you know can help me with this please email me at [email protected] i would greatly appreciate it.

Answer
It is a damascus barreled shotgun so is NOT safe to be used with modern shells. Paper or plastic makes no difference but it needs to be loaded with black powder or pyrodex. They made guns in the 1880's to 1900's, values, based on condition are in the $150.-350. range. Thanks.
