ESSEX DOUBLE BARREL 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN

2016/7/22 9:20:24

Question
I HAVE MY GREAT GRANDFATHERS ESSEX DOUBLE BARREL 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN. SERIAL # 359 387. WHAT IS THE APPROXIMATE VALUE OF THE GUN AND WHERE TO ORDER PARTS.

Answer
Micha,

The Essex is a trade name for shotguns made by the Crescent-Davis Firearms Co. on shotguns made for the Belknap Hardware Co of Louisville, Kentucky.

There were a couple of dozen various models made and without knowledge of exactly which model that you have I can only advise that the average retail value of one in "good" condition varies from about $350 to $600.

As for parts, contact the Numrich Gun Parts Co. at www.e-gunparts.com

I hope this helps and thanks for the question.
