shotgun value and parts

Question
Dear Sid,
I have a 12 Ga. Dbl N.R. Davis & Sons shotgun serial number 36. I used this gun for several years back in the late fifties and sixties. One day the spring for the right hammer broke. Can you direct me to a dealer that might have a spring or how I can get it fixed. Also would like a ballpark figure of what it is worth.
Yours truly, & thank you.   Larry

Answer
Larry,

There are about a dozen or so various models of the shotgun in question which would effect the value. Assuming a standard grade design and in "good" condition it would have an approximate retail value of $250.

As for parts....... I would first try Numrich Gun Parts at www.e-gunparts.com I have had the most success with them and if they do not have what you need, they can often direct you to a location that does.

Thanks for the question Larry.
