Question
I cant for the life of me figure out how to remove the slide from my weapon. i have tried everything to i can think of, but it seems to be diferant than any other hand gun i have dismantaled. and i am not new to weapons, i served in the army, i can dismantal and reasemble a n116 in 45 seconds. but i havnt been able to take apart my hi point in a month. how do i remove the slide from my weapon?

Answer
Mr. Pettis,

You will need to expose the takedown pin toward the rear of the frame under the slide.  This pin can be removed with a properly sized pin punch (you'll have do a trial and error - I don't know the size off hand).

See http://www.shootingtimes.com/handgun_reviews/hipoint_100605/index2.html

I hope this helps you some.
