problem attaching a bipod

Question
hello, recently i purchased a mossberg 100 atr and i planned on attaching a rail system and bipod to the bottom of it. my problem is that i noticed that the stud in the front was made into the synthetic stock and i cannot attach anything to it except a swivel sling. is there any way that i can fix this so my bipod or picatinny rail will fit onto it?

Answer
Chris,

There is no shortage of companies making bipod and related connection parts. Websites such as MidwayUSA or Brownells can give you a good idea as to what is available.

Harris and Caldwell bipod both make models that will allow you to attach both a bipod and sling on the same stud which is the way that I would go. You also could add an additional stud to the forearm.

I hope this aids you in your decision and thanks for the question.
