Colt Official Police .38 Special Value & Condition Guide (1967)

Question
What is the value of an Official Police Colt 38 Special CTG, with a serial number of 905234

Answer
Hello, Elizabeth.
Your Colt Official Police was manufactured in early 1967. You ask for a value. It is relatively impossible to put a value on any firearm I am not holding in my hands. Condition is everything. Going by Fjastid's 2012 edition 'The Blue Book of Gun Values', it can go from $125-$700. Generally, used revolvers with no rust pitting (or very little) and bluing only worn at muzzle, cylinder and trigger guard, fall into the 70-80%, or around $275-$325. Actual values change daily on some models due to supply and demand. Therefore, I would suggest checking some firearms selling sites, such as GunsInternational or GunsAmerica, or auction sites like AuctionArms or GunBroker.com.
I hope this helps and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
