Hawes Western Six Shooter Frame Material & Repair - Expert Advice

I recently purchased a Hawes western sixshooter 22/22mag cheap thankfully, it cracked on top of the frame just in front of where the hammer strikes. My question is what are these made of can it be welded or is it a wall hanger.
