Ruger Autograph Series .22LR: Authenticity & Value Assessment

I have a  .22 automatic ruger autograph . first of the autographs with Bill B. Ruger signature on top of the receiver
under the trigger."One of 5000" printed on the barrel. bought new with very minor shelf ware due to being handled at a lot of gun shows SN 17-01003 . fired 25-30 rounds. has original box and instructions. paid $400. did I get screwed?
